We are pleased to introduce you to Settlers Place, a residential community for individuals participating in the Vista Engage Program. This project of 20 condominium units will be incorporated into Settlers Campus. Settlers Campus is a campus setting that includes Settlers Landing and its 24 condominiums units as well as Settlers Place. Settlers Place will house all 20 units within one structure. It will include storage space, common space, a common kitchen as well as a separate meeting and office center.

In 2015, Vista and the project developer, Bocca-Des Properties, LLC, formed a collaborative arrangement to develop Settlers Landing. Its success has encouraged us to move forward with a sister project. We have worked with the Town of Westbrook and with state and local authorities to have a crosswalk approved, crosswalk signal installed and bus stops placed directly in front of the property. The design of the building and the units has been completed with input from Vista staff, families and the Settlers Landing Board to ensure it meets the needs of Vista members as well as ADA standards.

Units are available for purchase. Occupancy is limited to active Vista Engage Program members purchasing Vista services. The building and grounds external to the units will be controlled and managed by the Settlers Place Association, Inc. in conjunction with the Settlers Landing Association, Inc. The Association will provide general upkeep and maintenance to the common areas of the property. Vista staff will occupy the office and common spaces for ongoing operation of is programs and services. There will be meals, on-call overnight emergency support and group activities for Settlers Place residents underwritten by a Membership Fee paid by each occupant/sponsor. In addition, individualized Vista (life skills, vocational, program counseling) services are paid for by the Vista member and/or sponsor.

Settlers Place has received final approvals and is currently under construction. It is expected that the units will be available for occupancy sometime in mid-2021.

Vista is collecting the names of interested parties who may wish to purchase a unit. A Priority List will be devised that will determine the order in which an interested family may be eligible to purchase a unit. Letters of Interest will be collected from August 1 - September 4, 2020. For information on how to submit a letter, please refer to the procedures located on the website (settlerscampusvista.com).

The website contains information on the details of the project. We will be posting information on the website as new information exists. It is expected that we will determine the Priority List by seniority no later than October 2, 2020 and the developers will be contacting interested parties after that date.
